Objective

Understand the primary users, their needs, and pain points to inform the design and functionality of our SaaS product.

Methodology

Conducted one-on-one interviews with 50 existing users and surveyed 200 potential users. Also performed usability testing with the current system.

Findings

  • 68% of existing users mentioned difficulty in navigating the current platform.
  • 54% expressed a need for a more intuitive dashboard.
  • Usability tests revealed that, on average, users took 7 minutes to complete a task that should take only 3 minutes.
  • Potential users desired integrations with other popular tools in the market.

market analysis

Market Analysis

Objective

Investigate competitors to identify market gaps and understand where our SaaS product can excel.

Methodology

Analyzed five direct competitors and three indirect competitors. Looked into their features, user reviews, pricing models, and UI/UX designs.

Findings

  • Only 2 of the competitors offered API integrations, presenting an opportunity for our product.
  • User reviews for competitor products frequently cited poor customer support and limited customization options.
  • 3 out of 5 competitors have a mobile application, suggesting a potential area for expansion for our product.
